YD TORONTO 2015: #ItsBrookesWorld #R2Rradio.com coverage!

Hi guys: Today I will be telling you about the awesome fun time I had at the 9th annual Youth Day Toronto event on July 5th, 2015 at Yonge and Dundas square. This year I interviewed amazing talent on my radio show with Roger Thompson and Kevin Cee from www.R2Rradio.com  This year was a little different. We did all of our interviews backstage which was soooo awesome.

I even got a new co-host my bff Erika and I got to know another friend Aria. Erika and Aria did such a great job. It was fun sharing my blogging world with my friends.

We interviewed rappers, singers and fashion designers.

I even met up with my old friend @Trish This YOUTH DAY TORONTO was the best one yet.

I want to thank Tylaine Duggan the founder of YOUTH DAY TORONTO for making this possible.

Also Kevin and Roger for giving me the opportunity for having my own radio show.

YD Toronto 2015: When Words fail Music Speaks!

Hi guys: Today my mom shared a quote with me. This quote gave me a spark. The quote was "When words fail, music speaks". Then I thought to myself. This is like YOUTH DAY TORONTO and I just had to write another blog about YOUTH DAY! I wanted you to know that this quote is really important for kids on YOUTH DAY. This quote means, it's easier to listen, share, and create music. It's easier to listen to music when you are sad, upset and even happy than to share your feelings sometimes. Music is an expression. This brings me back to why Tylaine Duggan created YOUTH DAY TORONTO. Kids needed a way to express themselves and if kids aren't given a way to express themselves. Then they can get into big trouble. Tylaine Duggan created YOUTH DAY TORONTO because she wanted youth to pick up a microphone instead a gun.

If you care about youth please share my blog, and please tell a youth you know about YOUTH DAY TORONTO!!

Check out Youth Toronto 2014!

Auditions are happening right now. So just go to http://yd-toronto.com/Auditions.html sign up.

Tim Hortons Roll up the Rim to Win: Rolling up 66 cups!!!!

Hi guys: Today my dad and I did the Tim Horton's Roll up the Rim to Win Challenge. We rolled up 66 cups. This contest is available in Canada and the USA. How does the contest work? You just have to buy a coffee or hot chocolate and under each rim is a chance to win. This year we had 2 chances for each cup. There were over $500,000 prizes to be won. The prizes to be won were Toyota Corolla,  $5000 dollar pre paid visa gift cards, LG OLED TV's, 100 Tim Horton's gift cards, coffee and donuts. I thought that it would be fun to roll up a bunch of cups at once. It started with 1 cup then before we knew it we had 66 cups. So that meant I had 132 chances to win something! Whoohoo! Knowing that I would actually something.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe6o52P24so

I wanted to capture the excitement for whatever I won on video. So watch my video to see what we won. :)

Empire Conqueror Jussie Smollett and Estelle: International Women's Day

In honour of International Women's Day! I would like to dedicate a song to all the women that did not give up or accept defeat. I love this song because the message is about courage and believing in yourself.

It is a duet featuring Jussie Smollett and Estelle. If you are feeling really defeated or in a sad place. Put this song on repeat and just listen. It is one of those songs that give you courage. The message in this song is so important because I believe you should never give up on yourself. So really listen to the words.

Product review for Hearts4Hearts dolls Tipi and Nahji

Hi guys: One of my youtube friends watched my Christmas Morning and she sent me an email asking if I could do a review about Hearts4Hearts girls. I thought it would be cool if I just answered the questions to her email and then do a vlog too. So here goes.

1.What are Hearts4Hearts girls?
Hearts for Hearts girls are dolls that come from different cultures.

2. Which dolls do you have?
I have Lillian, from Russia. Tipi she is from Laos. Nahji she is from India and Rahel she is from Ethopia. I got them for Christmas.
Just in case you missed it. Here is my Christmas video where I got my dolls.

3. Where can I find them?
If you want to buy them you can find them at Walmart and Target. You can also get them here. www.hearts4heartsgirls.com

4. Why do you like them Brooke?
I like them because I don't know I just love them and I love what they are all about. They are about changing the world.

5. What is your favourite passage in their books that you like so much and why?
Ok...in Nahji's book she wrote " Believe...when you believe in yourself, when you are strong in your heart, then you can change the world around you for the better. That is what I truly think!"
Tipi wrote in her book Dreams..."But I think having a dream can take you many places, just like the Mekong, and then bring you back to many more stories to tell."
I love these passage because I think the same way. It's all true. That's all.

6. When will you be reviewing the dolls and which ones please?
I'm going to review Tipi and Nahji...check it out right here. Here is the vlog.
You can see my product review here about Hearts4Hearts girls Tipi and Nahji.
